Bike Computer (Watch) — Privacy Policy

Data the app uses

Location

Used on Apple Watch to measure speed, distance and altitude, and to follow your progress along a navigation route. It is processed on your device and never sent to us. iPhone location is also used for route origins and local sunrise/sunset calculations; the app does not store a separate phone location history.

Search and routing

Place search, cycling directions and the map in route images are provided by Apple Maps (MapKit). The search text, the area around you and the route endpoints are sent to Apple and handled under Apple's Privacy Policy. We never see them.

Health

With your permission, each ride is saved to the Health app as a workout (duration, cycling distance, route and available Bluetooth heart rate with permission). The app also reads cycling distance to resume a ride after an unexpected exit. Health data stays on your devices, is never sent to us, never used for advertising and never shared with third parties. You can review, delete or revoke access in the Health app at any time.

Ride records

After each ride, the full record (track, speeds, times, destination name and available altitude, heart rate, cadence and power) is stored on the watch and transferred to your own paired iPhone using Apple's Watch Connectivity, where it is used to draw the route image. It never passes through any server of ours.

Bluetooth sensors

The watch connects only to sensors you select. Device identifiers, names and types are stored locally for reconnection. Readings stay on your devices and in your ride records; they are never sent to us.

Motion sensors and crash reminders

Crash reminders are off by default. Raw accelerometer samples are processed immediately on the watch and are not saved or uploaded. Alert summaries, including time, available location, impact strength and prior speed, are transferred to your paired iPhone and recent alert states are kept locally for display and cancellation handling.

This is an auxiliary reminder, not rescue equipment. It requires a nearby iPhone, may miss events or give false alerts. Calling or sending a location text requires user action; confirmed messages go through the system messaging service to your chosen recipients.

Notifications

With permission, local notifications provide maintenance and crash reminders. There is no server push. You can turn notifications off in Settings; Focus and system state may affect delivery.

Emergency contacts

Use the system contact picker to choose a number, or enter it manually. The app does not request access to or scan your address book. Only the chosen names and numbers (up to three contacts) are stored locally for calls and messages you initiate.

Live Activity

When reachable, the watch sends readings to your paired iPhone for local display on Today, the Lock Screen and supported Dynamic Island devices. There is no server push or queued live data; the activity ends after updates stop.

Photos

The app writes a route image or year poster to your photo library only when you tap “Save”. It never reads your photos.

Settings

Skins, digit style, saved places (Home, Work) and recent destinations are stored locally on the device. Routes, dashboard profiles, vehicles, maintenance and selected contacts also stay on your devices. Statistics and heatmaps use local records. Exporting GPX or sharing images is initiated by you; recipients can receive the included location and ride data.

What we don't do

• No collection, server storage or sale of personal information by us (local storage is described above)
• No tracking, no advertising identifier, no ads
• No third‑party analytics, crash reporting or ad SDKs
• No sign‑up or login

Deleting data

• Ride records on iPhone: swipe left in the ride list to delete
• Routes, vehicles, maintenance and contacts: delete them in their app pages; watch route copies can be removed separately in route details
• Workouts and routes: delete them in the Health app
• Exported, saved or shared copies must be deleted separately
• Deleting the app removes all data it stored on the device

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal information from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the effective date above.
